Sustaining University Research Expertise (SURE) Fund

Use this service to:

submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to apply for the Sustaining University Research Expertise (SURE) Fund or to indicate that you do not wish to apply
following completion of an EOI confirming your interest in SURE, receive information about your maximum allocation through the SURE formula and submit a full application for the SURE Fund

Before you start

This service is for Higher Education Providers only, not individuals.

To be eligible, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

Be an eligible Higher Education Provider (HEP) in receipt of funding for research from a relevant national Higher Education funding body (Research England in England, Higher Education Funding Council for Wales in Wales, the Scottish Funding Council in Scotland and the Department for the Economy in Northern Ireland)
Be located in either England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland
Agree to allow the fund administrators access to TRAC data regarding your HEP
Agree to allow the relevant Higher Education funding/regulatory body to supply the financial monitoring and reporting information required for financial due diligence to the Business Investment Team at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy who are acting as the loan agent.
